There was ample opportunity for me to really mess around with Victorian marriages. I did a bit of reading, and it turns out that men could divorce their wives for adultery...but if women sued for divorce, adultery wasn't enough! There had to be proof of cruelty, incest, etc. For all that I might romanticize the era, I'm certainly glad to be alive now!
I had a completely different ending envisioned when I started out, so if the abrupt end of the relationship seems weird, that is entirely my bad, hahaha. Perhaps consummating it made the chase less fun for him in the long run, but I'd like to think they'd definitely have some sort of connection as time went on (similar to Sho and Jun's friendship).
